Google voice is a really useful app. It has been out recently but it has gained popularity very quickly because of its benefits and user-friendliness. Here in this article we will talk about the ways you can use the Google Voice app to your benefit.

Protect your Privacy

Of course the very first use of Google Voice is the privacy protection. This app will protect your real phone number and allow you to make or receive calls to anyone, anywhere with any devices. It does not require a device that has a SIM, all it needs is to be able to run the app.

Use Google Voice to make Voice calls

The primary function of this app is to allow you to make voice calls while hiding your real phone number. You can go to the contact section of your phone and from the list of contact numbers choose who you want to call. If you have Google Voice app, then you will get an option where you can choose between your real phone number or your Google Voice phone number. The receiver will see that number which you have chosen. Google voice will allow you to make free domestic calls, but will charge a fee if you call internationally.

Receive Incoming Calls

You can connect up to 6 devices that are capable of handling a call to your Google Voice App with a single account. Get google voice accounts ready in those devices. When you receive a call you can forward that call to any of your other connected devices. For example, you have a call on your phone that you want to receive from your office hot line. If you have Google Voice connected with your office hot line, you will be able to forward that call to your office.

Make text mail or voice mail

Google voice will allow you to make text or voice mails or messages. You will be able to send messages to anyone, anywhere and they don’t have to be connected to Google Voice themselves. This function is completely free.

Set up Voice Mail Greeting

You can set up a voice mail greeting for your missed calls. If someone calls you and for some reason you missed it, you can play a voice recording at the end of the call. Google Voice has a default recording set up for you, but if you want to change it and record your own message in your voice, you can do that in the settings menu.
